Download, Install & Exclude OctoSniff To Avoid False Positives.
Updated on April 17, 2026
Is OctoSniff Safe?
Yes. OctoSniff is safe, reliable, and virus-free. Because we use advanced "obfuscation" (encryption) to protect our code from being cracked or stolen, some antivirus programs may incorrectly flag it as a "false positive." Please follow the video guide below to exclude it from windows defender.
How to handle Antivirus alerts:
- Do not disable your protection: You do not need to turn off your antivirus entirely.
- Add an Exclusion: Simply add the OctoSniff folder to your antivirus "Exclusions" or "Exceptions" list.
- If you use McAfee, Avast, or others, a quick search for "How to add an exclusion to [Antivirus Name]" will show you the steps.
- Need extra peace of mind? You are always welcome to run OctoSniff inside a Virtual Machine or a Sandbox environment.
